History of Miu Miu
Miu Miu was started in 1992 as a secondary line of the larger Prada brand. Named after the nickname of its creative director, Miuccia Prada, Miu Miu is targeted towards a younger demographic offering more affordable pieces than the pricier Prada. Miu Miu is designed for the on-the-go, trendy girl with its eclectic mixture of sophistication and modernity. Celebrities such as Nicole Kidman and fashion trendsetter Chloe Sevigny are fans. Miu Miu has boutiques across the country as well as Asia, England, Italy and France. When the Hawaiian boutique was opened, Miu Miu released a limited edition Exclusive Bag, with only 50 made, all of which sold out during the opening weekend.
