The L.A.M.B fashion line was created by singer Gwen Stefani in 2004. Stefani began as lead singer for the band No Doubt and eventually struck out on her own, pursuing an immensely successful solo career. She has sold more than 40 million albums and was the world's Best-Selling New Female Artist at the Word Music awards in 2005.
Stefani has always been known as a fashion trendsetter, from her use of middle-eastern saris to punk rock attire, Stefani has bridged all types of fashion. She created all the clothing she wore on stage and was introduced to haute couture by stylist Andrea Lieberman. In 2004, she debuted the L.A.M.B line, with influences from Guatemalan, Japanese and Jamaican styles. The line became instantly popular among celebrities such as Nicole Kidman and Teri Hatcher as well as women looking to sport a trend-setting designs. Stefani expanded this line in 2005 with the less expensive Harajuku Lovers line, inspired by the colorful style sported by young Japanese girls. Harijuku Lovers included cameras and undergarments as well as a limited edition line of fashion dolls. In 2007, Stefani released a perfume line known as 'L', as part of her L.A.M.B. collection. A year later she added 5 fragrances to the Harijuku Lovers line.
